10th African Crop Science Society Conference, October 10-13. Theme - From Soil to Soul: Crop Production for Improved African Livelihoods and a Better Environment for Future Generations

10 – 13 October 2011 Maputo, Mozambique

ReSAKSS and The African Crop Science Society (ACSS) and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) cordially invite you to attend the 10th African Crop Science Conference to be held in Maputo from October 10th to 13th, 2011.

The Conference will emphasize the role of research on providing for new and improved livelihood opportunities for farmers in Africa, which will impact on their income generation and food security. This event will facilitate a learning, dynamic and interactive environment. Opportunities will be created to interact and learn from each other and to open and broaden our horizons.  As a supplement to the conference ReSAKSS will be hosting publications and other information.

Register for the ACSS Conference

ACSS invites interested parties to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. covering one of the following thematic areas:

  • Agronomy, crop physiology and cropping systems.
  • Horticulture.
  • Crop genetics and improvement.
  • Crop Protection.
  • Biotechnology.
  • Integrated crop and livestock systems.
  • Soil and water management.
  • Agricultural extension and education.
  • Agricultural economics.
  • Environment and climate change effects on agriculture.

ACSS invite proposals on special sessions such as workshops and symposia to create opportunities for discussion on innovative issues of regional or continental dimension.
